DIY Beautify was a multi-episode makeup competition series for iVillage.com, a subsidiary of NBCUniversal. The series was created to tap into the growing popularity of online beauty tutorials and celebrity culture. Each week, two contestants faced off in a makeup challenge taught by celebrity makeup artist Andrew Sotomayor. The contestants' skills and technique were judged by model, author and 'Real Housewives' alum Kelly Bensimon and host of iVillage's 'Likes or Yikes' Pat Sandora. Watch an episode now:

To expand the reach of each episode and increase views and shares, the makeup lesson from each episode was also edited as a standalone tutorial so fans and followers could learn the techniques without the competition aspect. This doubled the content with minimal budget increase.
